The devastation from superstorm Sandy is still incredibly widespread one week after hitting a vast swath of the East coast. And while the people affected by this storm in a very immediate sense, continue to focus on recovery and rebuilding, the rest of the nation is preparing to cast their votes in the Presidential election. One thing is for sure, it is more difficult, politically speaking, to demonize the very government employees who are saving lives in such extreme circumstances.
